Continued from: Time To Move On“So, where are we off to?” she asked in a quiet voice to keep from waking anyone else that was sleeping. "You're a quick one ain'tcha? Marie takes at least fifteen just to get dressed. As for where we're goin', I know this bar about ten miles up the road. It's a bit rough but I think we can handle it."[/b] Lorna laughed quietly. “I could have taken longer but really didn't need to,” she replied. “A bar sounds fine.” She wasn't horribly surprised that he'd chosen a bar as a place to get away from it all at. He seemed like he needed a really, really stiff drink and who knew, maybe he would be able to talk then. If not, she could just sit back and keep an eye on him, make sure he didn't get into too much trouble. Suddenly, he stopped at the top of the stairs and looked at her. "You look nice Lorna. Maybe too nice for the bar I had in mind. Why don't you pick the place instead."[/b] Lorna looked at him and frowned slightly. What the hell did he mean? “Um, it's jeans and a t-shirt, Logan. I don't think anyone's gonna be noticing. Besides, most people don't get beyond the hair,” she told him with a shrug as she stepped down the stairs. Once the reached the bottom, she added, “I'll be fine. Believe it or not, I can take care of myself.” It was true, too. She'd been on her own for seven years already and that had toughened her up a bit. She wasn't a pushover by any means and now that she had even more control over her powers, she could fight people off without killing them. Which, thankfully, had never happened in the first place. Once Logan was convinced that she'd be fine, he led her to his motorcycle in the garage and handed her a helmet. Slipping it on, it took her back to when Adam used to take her for rides through the country. They would get away from the city whenever they could and just live... Leaning forward, Lorna grasped Logan's waist as he went flying out of the garage and down the street. She had no choice but to hold him tightly as he was a bit of a reckless driver. Sure enough, ten miles down the road, they pulled into a seedy little bar that had music coming through the doors and neon signs signifying the assortment of alcohol that was served there. The motorcycle came to a halt and Lorna slid off the back, removing her helmet and shaking her head to let her hair fall loose again. “You're right,” she said to him with a smirk. “It's an interesting place.” Walking side by side, they went into the bar.

Kyra sipped her ice cold beer, the warmth of the day was fading like a bad memory as she let the cold hops drink roll down her throat. She had been working some odd jobs for an old lady who lived on her own. The old woman had more money then god and didn’t want men doing the work so right now it was a good job for her to be involved in, she got paid and hell it kept her out of peoples way. The woman seemed almost comforted by the fact Kyra didn’t like company and the fact Kyra gave off a sense of danger the old lady Miss Prichard said was a sign of a strong will.
Closing her azure eyes she reached back and pulled her black hair from the hair bobble which held it out of her face and ran her finger through the velvet like softness of it. She had been asked many a time how her hair was so soft and shiny, she of course couldn’t tell them it was to do with that fact she was a black leopard and it was how her fur was. Putting her beer down she looked to her left and right, the men in the bar had already left their seats when she sat down. The air of danger and predator rolled off her, it was something she couldn’t help at all.
Not that she minded, though it did surprise her slightly that humans still had a 6th sense when it came to danger. She was the hunter and they where her hunted and they knew deep inside their minds that was the case. No one hit on her when she came out drinking here hell no one would dare, one tried the first time she stopped at the bar and he ended up with a broken wrist for touching her without her permission. Lifting the ice cold bottle to her lips she took a long drink out of it the cold beer rolling down her throat.
The scent in the bar drove her mad, old beer and liquor hung like a mist in the air along with cigars and cigarettes. The smell of vomit came from the toilets like a haze and people’s body odour alone was enough to make her want to take a shot gun to her head. But she only stopped here once after work to wash the dust from her mouth before heading off to her small out in the wood which out skirted the area. Of course this area had reports of a black panther being seen. She was even helping the local economy, big cat hunters where out looking but she was an ex assassin no one was about to find her, she just hoped the government didn’t get wind of it which is why she had stopped shifting. Unfortunately it was making her very very prickly around humans right now, being able to go out for a run gave her a realised from her human soul and let her leopard soul have a stretch recently she had been caged almost and it was making her very tetchy.

“It's an interesting place.”
"Told ya. And another thing... I was saying that you looked too nice for this place. Not your clothes."
Without another word, Logan pushed through the double doors. Once inside, Logan spotted several people that he recognized. He lead the way to a booth in the back corner, unsurprised to see that it was empty. He'd been coming here since returning from Akali Lake almost a year and a half ago. He remembered his first visit and the drunk bikers. For a second Logan hoped that they might return tonight.
A waitress walked over to their booth and deposited a bottle of Jack Daniels in front of Logan and a Bud Light in front of Lorna. Logan smirked as he followed the waitress's glance towards a pair of apes at the bar.
"Hey Logan, try not to cause too much trouble tonight."
"I never do Missy. I just end the trouble. This is my friend Lorna. Lorna, this is Missy, the sweetest woman here."
After Missy left, Logan brought up Lorna's drink.
"Looks like you have a pair of admirers, Lorna. Better make sure that they're housebroken."
Logan let his eyes scan the room, his sense of smell picking up a scent, that he'd only smelt from a couple of different people, that usually meant trouble for him. He checked the room again, looking to see if anyone seemed to be paying him any unusual attention. He reached for the bottle of Jack and unscrewed the top, his eyes falling on a dark haired woman sitting at the bar.
"So how is life at the Mansion going?"
Logan knew that his comment sounded as believable as Sabertooth winning a Nobel Peace Prize for Humanitarian Aid but he was bored with the silence. He took a long drink from his bottle before returning his attention to the green haired woman.

Kyra lifted her head as the Feral entered, she didn’t turn her head just sniffed the air, male, big there was a slight tint of metal about him. She was a master tracker and assassin she had spent her young years being taught how to filter scents so she could concentrate on one. It was a kind of meditation she had got very good at as she got older, he was no threat not yet anyway as long as he remained on that side of the room and talking with a female she could scent near him he would be fine. Taking another long swig of her beer she was about to pay for it and leave when the door burst open and a rush of air filled with alcohol, sex and smoke walked in.
3 men all biker leather and unwashed stench made a very loud and noisy way to the bar. It was evident from the way they walked let alone the way they smelt they where well over the drive limit but of course that didn’t matter to these types. One huge man with wild red hair and a huge beard leaned against the bar ordering a round of shots then his eyes caught the girl sat quietly beside him. She felt and scented the changed in him as he turned and looked at her, his breath was rancid to her nose as he leaned down and spoke to her.
“Hey Darlin’, up for a good time are ye? How’s about you come with me an me boyz and we show it to ya?” closing her eyes against the smell she put her beer down her Leopard clawed at her skin to be allow to rip into him. His friend found it hilariously funny. He would have been fine had he not touched her, his hand came down on her leg as it did her eyes bleed to ice blue as the scent of danger and hunter filled the bar.
The man turned to laugh with his friends and to grab his drink as Kyra’s hand shot out and grabbed the back of his neck. His face made contact with the bar and right onto his shot glass full of tequila. He cried out as she held his head down with total ease his friends having stepped back from her hands in the air. Leaning down she spoke in his ear her voice a growl.
“Touch me again and I will rip your arms out of their sockets and shove them down your disgusting gullet… am I clear?” Her voice was very well spoken and her words slow as her claws emerged from her finger tips and dug into the back of his neck. The beast wanted flesh wanted to hunt, this recent spat of being unable to be free was having a very very bad effect on her. The scent of blood caught the back of her mouth making her growl lowly in her throat.
The man was whimpering and hell did he just wet himself?! Letting the man go she pushed away from him snorting the air out. Pathetic, she was starting to hate humans really was, none would leave her be and those who where stupid enough to come close to her generally only wanted on thing. A few humans she liked Mrs Pritchard and Missy who ran the bar. Looking at Missy she pulled out a huge wad of notes and dropped them on the bar. The men backed away from her and dragged their injured biker friend out of the bar
“Sorry about the mess Missy, hope that covers it… See you tomorrow?”
The bar maid seemed unfazed by the out burst but of course someone like her knew what it was like to have men touch you and not want it. “Sure thing Kyra… you got him good, wish I had the guts sometimes…” Kyra nodded to the girl behind the bar and finished her beer.

"Told ya. And another thing... I was saying that you looked too nice for this place. Not your clothes,"[/b] Logan told her.
That made Lorna blink in surprise at him as she paused walking for a moment and stared at him. He had absolutely no idea that she'd spent her young teen years living on the streets of New York, causing one incident or another. It was certainly not her prouder moments in life and she was quite proud of herself for raising above what she had been on the road to becoming. However, she could still take care of herself. Especially in a place like this.
Shaking out of the surprise, Lorna caught back up with him and entered, her eyes adjusting to the smoky, dim light that was inside the bar. The smoke burned at her eyes a bit but she knew that she'd get used to it soon enough. They were here for Logan. He was having a rough time and she just wanted to be supportive. Sure, it wasn't exactly her sort of establishment but that was fine...
Following him to a table, she sat down and without ordering, the waitress almost immediately set drinks in front of them. One dark green eyebrow raised as she looked at Logan. "Hey Logan, try not to cause too much trouble tonight."
"I never do Missy. I just end the trouble. This is my friend Lorna. Lorna, this is Missy, the sweetest woman here." [/b]
“Nice to meet you, Missy,” Lorna greeted the woman with a smile. She looked the sort of woman who could handle herself in a place like this which she would need to be given the entire atmosphere.
She took a swig of the beer and swallowed it. It had been a while since she'd drank anything alcoholic. In fact, it would have been just after she'd come to the mansion last year and had felt the need to escape things for a bit. "Looks like you have a pair of admirers, Lorna. Better make sure that they're housebroken."
Lorna began to look around to see what on earth Logan was talking about when there came a commotion from the bar. She watched in wide eyed horror as a woman practically creamed some guy for no apparent reason. She was so fixiated on the horrible scene in front of her that she missed Logan's question.
Glancing at Logan, she said, “Damn, and your friend Missy was worried about you? She must have forgot about She-Hulk over there.”
The guy looked like he'd been through a war and she stood up, concerned. “She could have just told him no. I'm going to go make sure he doesn't need a doctor,” she told Logan, disgusted with the display that had been completely unprovoked. And if Missy really thought that the woman was the best thing on the planet, the poor girl needed better role models.

Logan was taking another drink from his bottle when a ruckus broke out at the bar. Logan watched with a keen eye as a dark haired woman taught a lesson to a biker that had gotten too friendly with her. Watching the woman reminded Logan of Yuriko and the fight that had occurred in the Akali Lake Dam. Suddenly, he had an intuitive moment, knowing that the woman at the bar was the source of the scent. His question was answered when his keen eyes picked out the barest flash of claws.
“Damn, and your friend Missy was worried about you? She must have forgot about She-Hulk over there. She could have just told him no. I'm going to go make sure he doesn't need a doctor.”
Logan easily picked up on the disgust in Lorna's tone. He placed a hand on Lorna's arm in an attempt to halt her noble intentions.
"Lorna, that guy that just got creamed put his hand so far up her leg, he was practically inside her panties. Now, I don't know about you but I would expect a similar reaction from anyone else, including you. Could she have handled it in a less violent method? Yes, she could have taken them out back and killed all three without the scene. I personally think that she went easy on him."
Logan removed his hand from Lorna's arm and reached once more for his bottle. As he drank from it, his eyes never left the woman at the bar. Logan finsihed his drink, the bottle half empty and stood up. He looked at Lorna for the barest second.
"Tell me, did you notice the claws on the back of the drunk biker's neck when she grabbed him? I'll lay ya ten hundred to one odds that she's a mutant and ten to one odds that she's similar to me. You never knew me before a year ago. If you'd seen me just a week before Xavier brought me to the Mansion. I say that we buy the woman a drink and get her story. Whatcha think?"

An adamentium laced hand on her arm stopped her from getting too far and Lorna turned back to Logan in question. I personally think that she went easy on him."[/b]
Lorna sat back down and folded her arms over her chest, looking slightly pouty. “Why did there have to be violence at all, Logan? Why is everyone's answer the same as Magneto's? Let's see how much stuff we can destroy before we try to rationally get our point across.”
She still didn't get it. The woman didn't have to be such an...an animal about it. And the worst part was the waitress practically cheering her on. Maybe Logan was right. Maybe they shouldn't have come here.
Whatcha think?"[/b]
She took a long drink from the bottle before replying. “What makes you think she's not going to attack you the same way she just did that man?” was all she asked before standing up and following him to the bar. She sat down on a stool a couple away from them so that Logan could do his “duty” and talk to the feral woman.
Lorna was just a bit put out by this latest development. She'd agreed to go out so that they could talk about him and whatever had caused his nightmare. Now she was sitting there in the middle of the night, bored because he was playing headmaster. Maybe there'd be someone around she could at least dance with to pass the time or something...
((Whee! Look at her sulk! *shakes head*))

“What makes you think she's not going to attack you the same way she just did that man?”
"Who cares? If she does, she does. I've survived worse during rush hour traffic in New York. Besides, I heal just fine."
Logan walked up to the bar and dropped onto the stool that was recently vacated. He gestured for a drink for the woman beside him. As he waited for the drink to be delivered, he inhaled deeply catching the woman's scent. The drink arrived and the woman made no attempt to drink it or to even look at Logan. After a minute, she did relent and take a drink from the bottle.
Yeap, very similar to Yuriko.
"So what's your sign?"
Logan surpressed a smile as Kyra, taken offguard by his remark, coughed as she tried to breath her beer instead of drinking it. Logan held out a napkin towards her.
"You have a little bit on your shirt. I'm Logan and the green haired lady is my associate Ms. Dane. We couldn't help but notice your display a minute ago. Mind if I smoke?"
Logan pulled out a battered Zippo and smiled at Missy as she brought him a cigar from behind the counter. Without waiting for a reply, Logan lit the cigar and inhaled deeply. As he exhaled, he leaned close to the woman and began speaking in a low tone.
"I know what you are. I'm similar. Right now, I'd like to find out a little bit about you. If you're the right kinda person, than I might have a position on my teaching staff for ya."

Okay those where not the words she expected to come out of his mouth, taking the napkin she actually chuckled, damn she hadn’t laughed in a long time. The tightness in her chest from earlier lightening as she put the bottle down on the bar again and turned to look at the man before her and gave him an inspection which was very animal like, she noticed his muscles and his strength as my animal would.
She wondered if he was a graceful feral or a got at it kind, the scent of metal surrounded him like it was inside his skin, like it came out in his sweat, it was defiantly interesting. Putting her bottle down, she blinking slowly her eyes bleeding to ice blue as she took in the scent of the two before her. Ooh yeah the woman was sulking about something, to her each mood had a distinct scent, sulking or general poutiness came across as lemons to her noise it was very strange way of reading people but it worked.
When someone lied she got a burst of pepper from them pepper and acid meant they where not even in the same ball park as the truth. When someone was sad they had the distinct scent of water, salt water, like tears, being able to read people had been crucial to her job with the government but recently all it did was get her in trouble. She looked the man over before her he was interested in her she could tell that from the look in his eyes, his scent was subtle when you got past the metal he was all feral.
Pulling back the panther which lay just below her skin her allowed her eyes to shift back to that deep bottomless azure blue. Upon closer inspection it can be seen her nails are shiny black like claws, which in fact they are. Her claws can emerge directly out of her fingers, not better then a normal big cats claw mind you. They are still razor sharp but in this form just looked like her nails have been painted black. Her eyes trailed over the green haired women, she had very delicate bones, very finely built women, energy sizzled around this woman like bubbles up Kyra’s nose. She had not been around too many other mutants so feeling power almost like static was new to her.
A job? As a teacher? He didn’t even know her name! taking another drink from the new bottle to clear her throat she looked at the two again as she dabbed at the beer on her shirt. Strange man that was a given, she wasn’t sure about the female, but he seemed to know what she was, hell she knew what he was at least his out lying gifts. Tilting her head to the side as she ignored the smoke from the cigar which stung her eyes and nose she spoke. Her eyes flicked around making sure that no one could hear.
“You know what I am Mr Logan? That is very dangerous information to posses for one who is on the run such as myself… the government would pay incredible amount of money to retrieve me… and if that look in your eye is means anything I would say your wondering if I committed some crime… ooh hell loads of em…
I am sure you don’t want me on your teaching staff Mr Logan I am not safe to be around… thank you for the drink, nice to meet you and your sulking associate… good day to you both… ooh and I am a Gemini… in the worst possible way”
Surprisingly Kyra was very well spoke her voice soft like air as she spoke, she nodded to the two of them and put the bottle down on the bar her last few words held a strange tone her eyes almost sad. She was of course if she joined a school or what ever he was talking about she would bring danger to people and hell take her now she would not put children in danger. Turning she headed for the door, maybe it was time to move on again. Not that she wanted to, she liked this area, oh well.

"Who cares? If she does, she does. I've survived worse during rush hour traffic in New York. Besides, I heal just fine."[/b]
Well...that wasn't what she meant but fine. He wanted to chance evisceration at the hands of this woman, so be it. She was staying far away until the coast was as clear as it was going to be in this place.
Sitting at the bar, she nursed her beer while Logan began the “fine talk”. "So what's your sign?"[/b]
Lorna's reaction was the exact same as Kyra's. She choked on the beer, feeling it try to go down the wrong pipe in her throat. Oh, god, he needed help. He must have been celibate for the last year since Jean's death or something. Either that or the women that he picked up didn't care about how corny a line they got.
"You have a little bit on your shirt. I'm Logan and the green haired lady is my associate Ms. Dane. We couldn't help but notice your display a minute ago. Mind if I smoke?"[/b]
Lorna tilted her bottle of beer in Kyra's direction before adding, “Lorna, please.”
Ms. Dane...it was bad enough that the kids called her that while they were in class.
"I know what you are. I'm similar. Right now, I'd like to find out a little bit about you. If you're the right kinda person, than I might have a position on my teaching staff for ya."[/b]
This time, Lorna was able to keep from choking on the beer. Who'd taught him how to “recruit”? Offering her a position on his teaching staff without knowing a damned thing about her?
“You know what I am Mr Logan? That is very dangerous information to posses for one who is on the run such as myself… the government would pay incredible amount of money to retrieve me… and if that look in your eye is means anything I would say your wondering if I committed some crime… ooh hell loads of em…
I am sure you don’t want me on your teaching staff Mr Logan I am not safe to be around… thank you for the drink, nice to meet you and your sulking associate… good day to you both… ooh and I am a Gemini… in the worst possible way”[/b]
Lorna rolled her eyes at the dramatics. However, Logan wanted this woman, likely in more way then one, and she was going to make sure he had a chance to talk to her. Turning in her seat so that she was facing the woman's backside as she walked toward the door, Lorna erected an invisible magnetic barrier that Kyra could possible run in to if she didn't sense it first.
“Ms. Gemini, at least hear him out,” she said in a bit of exasperation. Giving Logan a glance, she threw him a look that she hoped he would realize was an apology for using her magnetic powers with him so close by. “He's new to this and really needs the practice.”
Dropping the shield since its only purpose was to make the woman pause for a moment, she looked at Logan and gestured for him to talk to Kyra. “I'm gonna head to the juke box and see if I can find something better then this country crap they have playing,” she told him as she made her way to the juke box.

Pulling up short before she hit the barrier she shivered at the energy which emanated from the shield before her. Her fine body hair was very much like her fur it could tell wind direction it could sense shifting in the air and this was no different. Listening to the words the woman called Lorna said she turned and looked at the green haired woman. Her word where find until she mentioned she was the practise subject, that made her eyes shift to ice blue as the memories shifted in her mind. Her hand absently lifted to the back of her neck where a mass of scar tissue sat. The day she ripped the chip from the back of her neck she had become free but also had a price on her head.
“Forgive me Lorna if I sound hostile, but I don’t like being anyone’s “test” subject…”
Her voice was very matter of fact it was evident to anyone listening she had been throw some horrible ordeals by her people. Her people she couldn’t believe she still referred to them like that, she had nothing else to call them really, her masters, her captors anything and everything matched them. As she stood before the two mutants before her remembering the first time they activated the chip which had been in her neck the pain still made her spine ache remembering.
She had been 12 and someone had left the door to her room unlocked accidentally, and as any 12 year old she wanted to go outside, she was an animal after all. They watched on the CCTV and waited until she was near the door before the chip was activated and sent a massive electric surge down her spine paralysing her instantly and sending pain to every part of her body. When she had woken up hours later it was explained to the 12 year old that she would never be free of them and that she must do everything she was told if she didn’t want to feel that type of pain again. Of course as a 12 year old girl it was too much and she did precisely as she was told. When she was told to kill she killed, it was easier as she got older, but she wanted to be more free the older she got.
Rubbing the back of her neck she realised what she was doing and dropped her hand, the day her part of the government fell she had ripped that collar of sorts from inside her neck and ran. She hadn’t stopped for years and now finally she wanted to stop running for a while and someone else wanted her. She was a solitary animal by nature but even leopards need company and tend to gather in small family groups in one territory. She never know her parents only what she had been told as a child, that her family had been killed and she had been “taken in” by the government, yeah she didn’t believe that. If she knew her branch of the government like she did it was evident that her parents had been removed from the equation when she was a child so not to cause problems.
Pulling her mind from the past she looked at the pair before her, her finger tips itched with the longing to pop claws and her leopard was clawing deep inside her trying to get out. She had been taught massive control at the expense of pain if she lost it, so holding down her other half was easy for her, when blood wasn’t around anyway, she was a big cat after all. Blinking slowly the shifting in her eye colour was evident from ice blue to deep bottomless azure blue as she put her hands behind her back.
“So, you were saying?”

Logan watched her walking away, not happy with the turn of events but also not unhappy. In the brief moments, he'd gotten a good read on the woman. While the Professor had had Telepathy to get a read on people, Logan only had his instincts. Right now his instincts were telling him that this woman was where he'd been 18 months ago.
Logan's body stiffened as he felt an all too familar stiffening of his limbs. He shot Lorna a withering glare. He hated powers that affected metal such as the adamantium running throughout his body. He made a mental note to have Lorna practice more starting in the morning.
“Ms. Gemini, at least hear him out. He's new to this and really needs the practice. I'm gonna head to the juke box and see if I can find something better then this country crap they have playing."
“Forgive me Lorna if I sound hostile, but I don’t like being anyone’s “test” subject…”
Logan stiffened at the mention of being a test subject. His fingers curled into a fist as the few memories he had of the bonding process flashed through his mind. Logan's eyes narrowed as he watched the woman rubbing her neck. He wished that Storm was here. She'd been the one that did the recruiting and she was the diplomatic one. Logan was just the muscle. He took another drink from his bottle as the mutant sat back down.
“So, you were saying?”
"As I was saying, Darlin'. I want to know you a bit. You can't go through life, thinking that you can overcome anything that gets put in your path. I know because up until a little more than a year ago, I was where you are. Fact is, Life is just waiting to toss you a curve that you can't recover from."
Logan snubbed out his cigar, the last plumes of smoking hanging around his head like a halo.
"What does it hurt to give me and mine a chance. You think that you can keep running? You can't. Sooner or later, it's time to take a stand. Best way to make a stand is with people that you can count on to watch your back. Now stop being so mysterious and spill the beans."

His words rang through her ears, it didn’t surprise her in the least that there had been other programs, other mutants used as rats in a maze while the humans tried to see how they worked. She lowered her eyes from his as she lifted her bottle and looked at the liquid through the brown glass she was going to need something stronger then this if she was going to tell anyone anything.
“Hey Missy! Bottle of Jack please… three glasses.......... not here….” Kyra grestured for Logan to follow her across the room.
She took the bottle with a smile and a nod as the girl returned to work, Kyra stood and walked to a booth in a dark corner, she sat so she could see the door which to someone like Logan would show she was trained in military tactics at a minimum. Spinning the bottle top it flew off and she caught it in the air before pouring two glasses leaving the one for Lorna if she decided to join them.
Putting her elbows on the table she looked at the amber liquid in the glass before taking a long slow drink from the glass. She rolled the glass between her hands and she went over in her mind what she was going to say, she had always followed her instincts and this man by his tone and the look in his eyes knew what she had been through. She had to trust someone he said, well it was going to be him because she doubted she would ever find another person so similar to her.
“I don’t have anyone at my back Mr. Logan, never have… my name is Kyra Shaw, frankly I don’t know if that’s the name my mother gave me or not it was what I was called when I wasn’t working…. Then I was known as Silhouette… Swift Death, Shadow Strike…..”Finishing her glass she filled the bottle again, her body language showed she was always alert her eyes always flicking to the door and around them for listeners.
“Yes that name means what you think…. I was a “worker” for the government… ever since I was a child…. I can say with up most certainty my parents didn’t willingly hand me over… they where shot in raid on my home when I was a child…. I am a feral, but more then that I can become my animal side…. I am a Black leopard, hence the Gemini comment… she is my other half, my darker side you could say…. Though some would say I am more pleasant as a leopard then I am in human form…”
She chuckled softly taking another drink before continuing, “About 2-3 years ago, the branch I worked for under went a take over of sorts…. Lets just say the head CEO’s didn’t get made redundant… during the confusion I left… no one noticed me… I removed my “leash” to them and ran… been running since….”

“Forgive me Lorna if I sound hostile, but I don’t like being anyone’s “test” subject…”[/b] said Ms. Gemini and that's when Lorna took off.
This was a complete and utter waste of her time. She'd come here to help him through what had obviously been a rough dream and now she was nothing more then an outsider on a conversation that they wouldn't need her for.
She wasn't jealous, they could go fuck in the back booth for all she cared, she just didn't like the idea that he'd brought her out here for apparently no reason. It was the middle of the night, he'd likely be taking the woman home on his motorcycle and she would have to fly home anyway. Might as well get a head start on things.
Lorna made it half way to the juke box before her mind was made up. There was no reason to stay. Next time, she'd just mind her own business from the beginning and stay in her room. Nothing could happen to her there and she'd be out of everyone's way.
Turning on her heel, she walked back to the table that they have moved to, glad she'd only had one beer. That wouldn't affect her much at all. Approaching the two who were obviously in private conversation, she said, “Logan, I'm not needed here and you obviously have no need for me. I'm just gonna head home on my own.”
Looking over to Ms. Gemini, she simply nodded at the woman.
That said, Lorna made her way to the door. He'd dragged her out of bed and here, he could pay for her beer.

Rogue had heard that Logan might be coming here tonight and true to form he was a man of his word. Only problem was the men he enjoyed beating to a pulp here didn't have his amazing healing factor. She didn't concern herself too much with their safety, she just didn't want Logan getting into any trouble if she could help it. Tossing her hair back over her shoulder so she could adjust he scarf around her neck. Guys in places like this sometimes touched without asking first. She didn't want any jerk's lewd thoughts floating around inside her head for all eternity.
She saw a familiar face leaving just as she reached for the door handle to open it. Marie withdrew her hand instinctively before she realized completely who it was, "Oh hey Lorna! Gettin some air...or is Logan busting the place up again?"
Marie laughed and headed inside, assuming that the woman would be joining them again soon. She walked up to Logan and it appeared some new woman, "Logan...hey...I'm surprised to see the place in one piece, ain't it ten? Or am I early?" Marie glanced over at the girl, "Hey, shugah. Don't let this one tell ya otherwise, he's a good guy." She patted him on the shoulder then and winked, feeling festive now that she might have the chance to actually sit and have a coke and relax a little, "That is once ya get past the claws." Rogue grinned and took a seat beside Wolverine. She gave an order for a coke, she hated diet anything...why bother.
