"You mentioned a higher power, Alphonse. I'm not sure that I understand. Do you mean like a Government or some other type of ruling body? ...That said. I'm always willing to help my friends."
Alphonse smiled coyly, as Warren had not grasped the idea that there were much higher forces at work than the U.S. Government. He probably wasn't aware that even the Inner Circle was more powerful than the United State's government...despite the Inner Circle having almost total control over the aforementioned party. After another swig of his drink, Alphonse put his cup down, and chose to enlighten Warren a bit more, but would leave the grand explanation to Rand.
"Warren, all of us are either in, or have had dealings with the Hellfire Club, as such money really is no object. As for the higher force...let me give you a brief history lesson. Nothing boring, but very intriguing. You know of the Cuban Missile Crisis, si? The story given to the media was that the entire fuss was all about Soviet Missiles in Cuba. After a brief negotiation, it appears that John F. Kennedy is successful, then tragically assassinated. This, is the true story: the United States government is a masquerade. The country we reside in at the moment is run by a group of very powerful men and women, all faceless and unknown. In fact, most powerful countries are run by such groups...as was the case with the U.S.S.R. There was a large disagreement between the two, all regarding money. They were trading uranium supplies, and other weapons of that caliber. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Kennedy declared that he was sick of being a puppet ruler, and was going to bring out the truth. Not long after, came one Lee Harvey Oswald. That, was just a tiny fragment of the organization's power......the superior force we serve, is not an organization, but a lone individual, with far more power than to all organizations on the planet...you have been deemed worthy to join in....Rand, care to explain?
As Alphonse spoke, he took on a solemner tone, but still kept a semi-light expression on his face. He stared Warren in the eyes, and it would be difficult for the winged man not to notice Alphonse' red lenses. It almost gave the impresion of Mephistopheles proposing the deal of fate to one Dr. Faust in the classic work of fiction...only in real life.

Vanessa listened as Alphonse rambled on and on about past historical events, how the government wasn't really in charge...so forth and so on. Rand was spacing out again, something to do with his mutant ability or whatever and something Vanessa really gave a crap about. She knew Rand's two most intriguing abilities and how to use them to her and the team's advantage so that was enough for her. Introductions and pleasantries weren't really for Vanessa, she was more of the type who did the jobs no one else wanted to do, the one who got down to the meat and potatoes of it all and wasn't afraid to get her tiny little hands dirty. Her role in this meeting with Warren was to make sure he ended up on the jet waiting for all of them at the airport, either of his own free will or by other more violent and physical means.
Vanessa began to tap her fingers on the table in a slow steady rhythm, her rather blank gaze fixed on a water ring left by someone's beer bottle from who knows how long ago. However, just because Vanessa looked as if she was zoning out, didn't meat she was, she was merely playing the part, setting those around her off guard and making them underestimate her. Arrogance on the male genders part was astonishing and seeing as how most men thought themselves already above women, it wasn't too hard to elevate that ignorance and arrogance a bit more by playing the uninterested and ignorant weak female.
Alphonse finally wrapped up his second little speech and Vanessa glanced up to him, her fingers stopping their tapping instantly. The urge to say something smart assed tugged at Vanessa, beckoning her like a flame calls out to a moth, but for the sake of appearance, she bit her tongue and held back. The taste of copper filled her mouth and she realized that she bit too hard on her tongue, but in some sick twisted way, the rush of the pain and the taste of blood aroused Vanessa slightly, causing her to close her eyes and then looking back down to the table.

Rand, like Vanessa continued to let the White Knight speak on behalf of him. After his flashback, he had really started to feel a bit drowsy. Taking a long, exaggerated sip from his glass, he let the cool liquid cascade down his throat. Glancing over at Vanessa, he shook his head as Famine went on and on about some historical BS.
Thinking back, he tried to recall where the flashback had taken place. Dozens of ancient names surfaced and resurfaced, like pop ups on an unprotected computer. His name then had been Eudoras, a dark haired Greek with piercing blue eyes, serving his country in the Trojan War. A few other memories from his ancestor told him that he served the greatest warrior of all, Achilles. The final memory shook him up a bit, as the last thing Eudoras ever saw was a sword thrust aimed at his chest.
He remembered dying, more than once. Some men died gruesome, horrible deaths, others as peaceful old men lying in large beds of white sheets. Rand spaced out quite often, and some of his fellow members in the upper echelon of the Hellfire Club thought him to be a bit mad. In truth, he was just a little mad, but wasn't everyone?
He didn't mean to be rude, he really didn't, but sometimes it was hard to remember your own name when you had the bloody memories of dozens upon dozens of men in your skull. Some were ancient, as far back as the first civilizations. Others were a bit more recent, perhaps as a colonist in the New World.
Yes, he loved to daydream. Sometimes he even came out of a trance speaking an entirely different language, whether it be a dead dialect, or a still active one, it didn't matter, for it still creeped him out, and imagine what others around him thought?
Realizing that he had been spoken to, as he barely caught the last words of Alphonse's speech, he replied in all politeness, "No, you seem to be doing a fantastic job, why don't you continue there Alphonse..."
((Ugh, my muse is shot. Sorry guys))

That, was just a tiny fragment of the organization's power......the superior force we serve, is not an organization, but a lone individual, with far more power than to all organizations on the planet...you have been deemed worthy to join in....Rand, care to explain?
He was somewhat thrown by the idea that these people and whomever they represented didn't care about his money. That was a first. His other guess in regard to the Hellfire Club had only been partially correct. He had been right to think they were connected to the Club in some way. He smiled for a moment until Alphonse went into his discourse on Kennedy. Warren wasn't sure if he bought all of that but he really wasn't old enough to know first hand so he couldn't dismiss it either.
He was thrown further by the mention of some unknown figure that was even more powerful than anyone on the planet. He did nod in response to the worthy comment. It felt like a compliment and so he took it as such. Still, he was beginning to feel a certain amount of unease, especially from the quiet woman beside him. His discomfort showed upon his face briefly before he covered it with a bright smile as he turned to Rand. Rand seemed off somehow and that only made the Angel more ill at ease.
"No, you seem to be doing a fantastic job, why don't you continue there Alphonse..."
Warren recognized a chance when he saw one and this was it. This wasn't what he had come here expecting and the fact that they all seemed to be playing him was making him angry. It wasn't anything they were saying and if anything it was all friendly enough. He looked down at his glass, his throat was dry. His eyes moved from each of them wondering if he was over reacting. Maybe just a moment to himself was what he needed in order to regain his composure, "Hold that thought, Alphonse. If you kind folks will excuse me...I think I'll wash my hands."
He stood then and adjusted the coat. That was the other thing that was bothering him, They seemed to know an awful lot about him. Maybe too much. He was across the floor to the men's room smoothly and into the restroom. He was alone, so he locked the door behind him. He took the few steps it took to get him to the sink and he turned on the faucets. He stood there looking in the mirror wracking his brain to try and figure out who this world power could be. His father wasn't a politician but his family had come into contact with pretty much every important person in the world. Or so he had always thought.
He splashed some warming water on his face. He'd never been great at hiding his motives or feelings. His eyes met their reflection, searching for some truth in all of this, "Whats going on? Are you in over your head here Angel boy?" He reached for a towel, his eyes moving to the window. It was small but even though it was near the ceiling he could reach it. Especially if he used his...
His hands went for the buttons on his shirt. He hesitated for a moment before beginning to unbutton this shirt. He hadn't been gone long, hopefully they weren't missing him yet.

Vanessa noticed yet again Rand's lack of supposed interest in the conversation around him and the look in his eyes told her he was off in whatever dream world plagued him from time to time. The off beat reply he gave to Alphonse and the weak hearted smile pushed Vanessa to take up a more dominating role, something she was more than comfortable in doing. Vanessa, at times, could seem the most determined of the Horsemen, or more accurately, the most loyal to her Lord. Vanessa had some sort of emotional attachment to Apocalypse and whether this was of the loving nature or more of a familial sense, well....who knew. However, before Vanessa herself could seize the moment and take over the conversation from Famine, young Warren beat her to the punch, making some weak excuse about washing his hands.
Warren hastily uprooted himself from his seat and adjusted his coat before heading off toward the back bathroom. Vanessa's dark cold eyes followed the young billionaire as he navigated his way through the crowd and to the back. "He's gonna fly," she said as her thumb began its slow tapping rhythm on the table top once again, "He's freaked and probably thinks we're cracked," she added with a frustrated sigh, rolling her eyes as she slumped down into the booth and laid her head back. "If he escapes now....well...," she began again, taking a deep breath and letting a smile creep across her petite face, "I'm the one who gets to collect him later.....," she added, letting her meaning hang open in the air. If Rand or Alphonse failed to subdue Angel here, then Vanessa would have her turn and to be brutally honest, that route would be much more painful.

"He's gonna fly, he's freaked and probably thinks we're cracked. If he escapes now....well...I'm the one who gets to collect him later....."
Alphonse had a look of concern on his face. He glanced to Vanessa with a look that said, 'We need him in one piece...' before deciding that he had to take care of this himself. It appeared that Rand was being afflicted by his ability at the moment, and Vanessa....well...was frightening as usual. He sighed, and slid out of the booth, and proceeded towards the bathroom. He put on an adamant expression, and stood outside the door of the bathroom.
Alphonse was faily decent with time, and knew that despite wings, no man could take that long to wash his hands. To a man who can walk through walls, privacy doesn't exist. Slowly and gently, Alphonse leaned toward the door, and peeked his eye through the door. He saw the young millionaire removing his jacket, and saw the line between his eyes and window. He was indeed going to fly. And THAT, was not going to happen.
Alphonse stepped straight through the wall, and behind Warren. He spoke calmly and ever-so-smoothly to his mark. "Flying the coup already, Warren? I'm afraid I can't allow that. Very quickly, Alphonse directed his palm towards Warren, and concentrated slightly. Instantly, he would feel that it would be impossible to move. Alphonse was multiplying the gravitational space around Warren several times, keeping him grounded. Naturally he'd probably lose a feather or two, he'd still be fine...immobile, but fine.
Struggling will only put strain on your muscles. Warren, it pains me to do this, but I am faced with a variety of options. One: I let go, and you calmly come with us to a jet not far away. We make a short trip, and you make a deal with...with Lord Apocalypse. Two: I let go, you try and escape, I bring you crashing to the ground, and we drag you and make the trip far less comfortable than it ever should be. Three: I pull out my cell phone, and bring Vanessa in here, where she would then beat you senseless, and repeat option two from there on. Four: We kill you, and struggle for possibly years before we find another person so worthy, such as yourself. Honestly, I like you. You have fine taste in women and probably other such things, and you have good sense of humor. I like that. I would really hate to cause you harm, especially when you are on the verge of obtaining something that is promised only to we three, you, and our Lord....power unimaginable, and immortality. I greatly suggest you weigh your options. You will find that your driver and staff have been alerted and paid off, and subsequently subjected to a variety of drugs to erase the fact you were even here from their minds. Please, don't make this harder than it already is."

Warren's over coat dropped to the ground but that wasn't what gave him the chill that now ran down his spine. He swallowed hard, his hands falling from his shirt. He had managed to get the buttons loose down to his navel. The brown leather straps of the harness could be clearly seen as they crossed his muscled torso. His eyes turned sharply to the mirror in front of him as he heard Famine speak.
"Flying the coup already, Warren? I'm afraid I can't allow that."
Warren's reaction might well have been comical as his expression reveal his shock at what happened next. His arms were trapped at his sides and he couldn't move his feet nor turn his head. He began to struggle, well as much as he could. The corded muscles of his chest and arms bunched beneath harness and finely crafted Egyptian cotton. He started to open his mouth and lie, say that he was only adjusting his harness but he knew that was futile. Even he wouldn't buy that.
His skin darkened slightly as his anger rose within him, "What are you doing to me?" He continued to strain now, he'd broken the harness before. He could do so again. A trio of feathers fell to the floor much faster than they should have as this special brand of gravity took hold. The veins in Warren's neck were rising to the surface, "Stop this?!" His eyes met Alphonse's reflection. The other man's red eyes spoke volumes.
"Struggling will only put strain on your muscles. I greatly suggest you weigh your options. You will find that your driver and staff have been alerted and paid off, and subsequently subjected to a variety of drugs to erase the fact you were even here from their minds. Please, don't make this harder than it already is."
Another few feather's hit the floor.
Warren struggled, his body having snapped the harness at his chest now. The buckle, though now dislodged and free to fly hovered there against his skin, as did the leather straps. In this test of wills, he was losing. He had never felt such a steady use of power, even Storm's hold over him in the air wavered like nature itself. In this there was no give, no take , only power.
Amazing power.
His face was contorted with the pressure he himself was exerting in an attempt to free himself. He hadn't eaten since breakfast. He had been too busy and worrying about this meeting had taken his appetite later in the day. There was only so much he could do. His fast metabolism had already used everything within him. He felt light headed now, almost like his blood was being pressed down too. His muscles stung. His chest heaved within the confines of the gravitational pull and he relaxed his arms with a final cry of disgust. He had been beaten.
He lifted his eyes to stare across the space between reflection and reality at the red eyed man behind him. It took all of his will but Warren managed to lift his chin slightly in a nod of defeat, "Alright...one....option one." He didn't feel the expected freedom he'd been after, perhaps this one no longer trusted him (if he ever did), "I said I'd go with you!"
Worthington wanted to snap, 'Take me to your leader' but he couldn't bring himself to say anything else. He truly hated being bested so easily. He'd heard stories of Jean Grey and her powers but he was sure this could have rivaled her, at least in part. If Alphonse was like this what could Rand and Vanessa do? Once again Warren was left to wonder at what this 'superior power' wanted with him. In the back of his mind he still held a modicum of thought that was hopelessly latching onto the idea that he was simply being kidnapped for ransom.
That he could understand, the rest of this was simply beyond comprehension. When he was able, he turned away from the water still running in the sink, and his coat and the stray feathers on the floor. He moved past Alphonse with a stony expression on his face. His jaw was clenched tightly and his arms were at his side. He allowed himself to be taken back to the others.
To join them.

Alphonse sighed in releif, and immediately cut his power. Warren would probably feel exhausted, after all, he did stand erect for over a minute or two in nearly six G's...and Alphonse was attempting to hold it back. Since his induction as a horseman...the power he could use...it was unimagineable. Now, now he could possibly reverse the gravity of over an entire city block, and on the flipside: demolish it.
He strode over to Warren, and helped him with his coat. The Horseman looked apologetic enough, and said, "I'm sorry I had made to do that. I had to follow orders, besides, in a few hours, you will be glad I did. You must know that none of us would willingly kill you...except maybe Vanessa, but that is only if she is in much worse mood. Besides, I think she likes you. Then again, she might just want to bash your head in. Either way, we would stop her...now come on then, I buy you drinks. Now, as soon you're ready, I take you back to table. Door too obvious, still some people out to make certain you don't come....they rather see you dead than you safe, while we'd prefer you safe. Now come.
As soon as Warren was ready, he would phase them through the floor and quite stealthily back to their table. He remembered the first time he brought Rand through a phasing trip, back in New York City. Alphonse chuckled slightly, and readied a handkercheif just in case Warren vomited.

Sighing, Rand watched the young mutant make his way into the bathroom. For some reason unknown to him, perhaps it was the fields of probabilties shifting, but the Horseman of War suddenly felt that young Worthington wouldn't willingly be joining them once more. A dark smile shone on Rand's features as a dangerous glint appeared in his eyes. Rand was not innocent by any means, and he took his position in Lord Apocalypse's Inner Circle very seriously. So you see, failure on his part resulted in punishment, severe punishment that Rand had seen exacted on a few of the lower members of his Lord's ever growing army. So, as you can imagine, O'Neill did not want to disappoint his benefactor. He would not be leaving the jovial night club without Worthington, and that was final.
Almost as if his White Knight could read his mind, Alphonse exited the three Horsemen's booth in pursuit of young Worthington the Third. Nodding to himself and to Alphonse at the same time, he took up his drink once again, taking a small sip before depositing it back in almost the exact same position as it had been, using the ring it left on the table as a guide. War was almost one hundred percent sure that Alphonse would bring back their quarry unharmed, and no scene would erupt, for it would most definitely be the cause of some bad publicity, for he and Alphonse had an image to uphold, and neither could afford for their positions to be revealed just yet...
A few moments or so later, Rand really couldn't be sure, the Horseman of Famine returned with Mr. Worthington, who looked quite shaken up and fearful. The same smile graced his features as the two took their seats once more.
With a voice lacking all emotion and feeling, a cold and heartless voice, Rand explained to Worthington, "Mr. Worthington, you are coming with us, whether you see it fit or not. My Master has requested your presence, and you will be there."

As soon as Warren and he were back at the table, Alphonse allowed Rand to make his explanation.
"Mr. Worthington, you are coming with us, whether you see it fit or not. My Master has requested your presence, and you will be there."
Before Warren had a chance to respond, Alphonse brought his arm to the back of Warren's neck, and phased his hand through flyboy's neck, and solidified his fingers in two places just under his spine far more effective than the sleeper hold. Warren would be out like a drunk in under ten seconds at best, and they could simply drag him out like he was a drunken buddy that had gone two beers too far. As soon as Warren was out, Alphonse phased his hands out again, completely blood-free, and looked to Rand with a look that said, I may not have psionic weapons, but this works, no?

Warren was physically exhausted after experiencing Alphonse's little trick. His body trembled with a mixture of fear and the physical stress of what he'd just endured. he felt sick to his stomach, thankfully he was used to aerial maneuvers and so the sudden change in G forces wasn't as bad as it might have been. It took his muscles a few moments to recover after the gravitational pull was lifted.
He leaned over the sink as he watched the water flow down through the drain. He listened to Famine speak, cursing himself for not just ripping off his clothes and going for the window. He'd been worried about exposure. He automatically extended each arm as Alphonse assisted him with the coat. Warren's eyes rose to once again meet the red eyed mutant once the coat was securely in place. His shirt was open, the harness exposed upon his chest.
When the other man ordered him to come along he simply nodded and turned off the faucet., "Lets go." He turned to face the Horseman as the other man reached for him. Suddenly, they were flowing through the solid floor like water. It was a weird trip and only compounded Warren's nausea. They emerged soon enough right back with the others. Warren looked to Rand, some unspoken plea within his eyes even as he said, "I don't suppose any of this is up for negotiation?" The question had been a weak attempt at lightening the mood. Not surprisingly, Warren barely managed to smile in the wake of Rand's contrasting demeanor.
"Mr. Worthington, you are coming with us, whether you see it fit or not. My Master has requested your presence, and you will be there."
Warren felt a chill along his spine as Famine's fingers became tangeable within his neck. "Plea..," His mouth opened to speak but there were no words. In the time it would have taken to get a few words out, Warren was passed out. His body slumped over the table. He did indeed look the part of a man who couldn't hold his liquor.

Vanessa counted the seconds off in her head as she and Rand waited for Alphonse to return with young mister Worthington. Famine's capability in the situation was never in doubt as the mutant's ability was quite impressive. Each Horsemen had been picked to contrast and coincided with the others. Each one of the group was defensibly against at least one other and one or more usually amplified another....simple and complex at the same time. Rand, being a psionic user, was left useless against Vanessa as she was a lightening rod of sorts for such abilities and Vanessa was at odds against Alphonse for his phasing and gravitational powers could reach her through her barriers. However, Rand had an advantage over both due to his probability shifting power, something which had bested Vanessa on more than one occasion and earned him the spot at Lord Apocalypse's right hand.
Famine's presence was felt before he and Warren were seen. The phasing left Vanessa cold, as if a chill had just slinked through the room, causing her to fully sit up and focus herself. The look on Warren's face clearly showed the way he felt and Vanessa knew all too well that feeling. Phasing through solid matter tended to leave one a bit disoriented and unless you were quite accustomed to such things, then it really never go any easier. While phasing offered the obvious advantages to travel, Vanessa still preferred the tried and true physical method, after all, if she needed to move through a wall, she just blew it up.
Warren slumped down onto the table, leaving Famine still standing with his hand held out and Vanessa had an idea of what he had just done. Famine had his power tuned in perfectly and used it with amazing control. Vanessa herself had to admit that Famine had skill, but openly admitting that wasn't going to happen though. "The Chargers out back Famine....Secure wonder wings here inside the trunk while I provide the necessary distraction," she said with a smile, the sort of smile which indicated nothing good was going to come from what Vanessa was about to do.

"The Chargers out back Famine....Secure wonder wings here inside the trunk while I provide the necessary distraction,"
Alphonse sighed, and hooked his arm under the unconscious Warren. He glanced over at Vanessa, and said sarcastically, "Oh my dear Madame Morti, we have to leave so soon? But things were just becoming interesting...then again I'd think it wise that I not know know what you're planning....I would be guessing that we will be seeing it on the flight? Wait, must remember who I'm talking about...In fact, forget it...I'd rather not know..."
Alphonse stood up Warren, and dragged him towards the door. Nobody thought it was odd that one guy had to drag out his drunken buddy, which it looked like in this case. Alphonse squinted his eyes slightly, and lessened gravity's hold on Warren, to lessen the strain of dragging him. Famine made his way around the outside of the club to the charger out back. He needed no keys to open up the trunk, as, naturally, doors meant nothing to Alphonse...much like privacy. As soon as the trunk was open, Alphonse slumped Warren's body in, made sure he was comfortable, then slammed the door shut and locked it.
Making sure there was nobody around, Alphonse drew out his cellphone from his pocket, allowed it to scan his fingerprint AND DNA via very small needle, and dialed Vanessa's number. As soon as the line was connected, he said quickly,
"Death, flyboy's in the trunk. I'll meet you and War at the airport...I rather like this bike, and rather it NOT become a smoldering heap...like the last one back in Budapest......yes, I remember the lovely way you imitated a terrorist attack in that parking garage to take out that dignitary, right next to my bike. That said, takeoff in no more than thirty. See you there."

Everything was being set in to motion, just as he had planned. The ever present smile on his face only widened as Mr. Worthington was easily incapacitated by his White Knight. Lord Apocalypse would be most pleased with the work that War and his associates had accomplished. The luxuries of being in the Inner Circle of the Great Lord were almost never-ending, more so when you did what was asked of you by your Master. Rand could only imagine what the world would be like when the Great One's plan had been successfully carried out by his loyal disciples...he could almost see it now, a perfect world, a world where only the strongest survived. Rand would be only second to the Great One himself...
Power, power unlike anything he had ever dreamt of would all be his. Power had a strange way of corrupting those who sought it. Rand was no different from any other, his own personal greed had drawn him into Apocalypse's web of promises...
Alphonse quickly disposed of Worthington's seemingly intoxicated body, and his call to Vanessa came only moments after he had exited the club, whose patrons hadn't noticed a thing out of the ordinary. Yes, things were going quite well for Rand this evening, and he hoped it would stay that way.

((If this is wrong Famine, let me know.))
The sensation was weird to say the least. He was passed out...but...he wasn't. Not exactly anyway. He still felt horribly sick to his stomach from both his nerves and the trip through the floor. He could hear them but his thoughts were no longer connecting to his body in anyway that enabled him control. Or a voice. His mind panicked now as heard:
"The Chargers out back Famine....Secure wonder wings here inside the trunk while I provide the necessary distraction,"
"Oh my dear Madame Morti, we have to leave so soon? But things were just becoming interesting...then again I'd think it wise that I not know know what you're planning....I would be guessing that we will be seeing it on the flight? Wait, must remember who I'm talking about...In fact, forget it...I'd rather not know..."
He felt his body being lifted now. He knew he didn't weight that much because of his hollow bones. it had never bothered Warren before but at the moment he wished that he weighed a ton...It would serve them right! Warren tried to speak, his words sounding slurred as his tongue tried to form cohesive sounds to no avail, "Mmmthhlbblooo..."
When Alphonse toyed with the gravity around his body he felt light headed and dizzy. His stomach lurched and did a flip. The playboy was mortified as he felt his torso heave suddenly. Thankfully there wasn't much in his stomach only part of a drink as that came pouring out of him now. He tried to form the words to apologize out of habit and then stopped himself. His words weren't making sense now anyway and not that these people deserved any such kindness.
If he could have he would have aimed for the man carrying him, as it was the contents of his stomach sprayed harmlessly into the wall of the bar as he was drugged to the back and to the waiting car. He wanted to shake his head and cry out NO as he felt his body being placed into the trunk. He tried, once again, to move or to kick or tear at the harness with his powerful wings but he couldn't move. He couldn't remember ever being so frustrated, angry or helpless feeling. As the trunk closed and darkness prevailed, Warren could hear Alphonse speak. He almost thought he heard Alphonse refer to someone as death. And then...he remembered Vanessa referring to Alphonse as Famine too. But that made no sense at all...
