Well, there goes that. Well, might as well give the old coot a heart attack and get on with life. What do you say, White Queen?
I'll spare his life, he doesn't have too much time left anyway. And, where would I stand if I murdered this old fellow? Would I be any better than a cold hearted murderer?
Emma transfered herself back into her body, which was being led away by Alphonse. She nodded to say that she was in her own body again, and she could lead herself away. Emma looked down at the rose in her hand, the one that she had gotten from Alex. She lifted it up to her nose, and smelled the beautiful scent it gave. She turned her head back, to look at what Alex was doing. He was talking to another girl, and Emma felt envy. How could he start talking to another girl after he gave a flower to her?
'You know, it's not nice to give a girl a rose and go to talk to another one. No matter how rude she was to you. Until we meet again, Alex.' she projected into Havok's mind. Emma hoped that Alex wouldn't get suspicious, and think that the White Queen had projected it into his mind.

"I was opening it up so much I had to put this swivel hinge on so that I could get to the inside easily. I have to figure out how to make it so if I phase through it I won't break it. I didn't earn enough at my dad's to buy a new one. I've managed to make it about twice as fast as any laptop on the market. My dad bought me this saudering gun, so I can make changes to the internal boards. I mean I'm not like Dr. McCoy or anything, but it's fun."
"Well, you are young. I'm sure by the time you get to be an old man like him you'll know a lot more about them," he offered her a smile. He'd been kidding of course but, he knew she thought of herself as just one of the guys. So he had simply played into that and given her a hard time about that. She wasn't like most of the teenage girls he knew from the school. She seemed to lack the 'silliness' gene. In short, he thought a lot of her. He only hoped that in time she would have the same inner confidence.
"So powers are back, I guess that's good, but I don't know. They still don't like us," she said, meaning most humans, "how long before they try something worse than a cure?"
"Knowing the way people think, Kitty," he answered thoughtfully, "It won't be very long at all."
'You know, it's not nice to give a girl a rose and go to talk to another one. No matter how rude she was to you. Until we meet again, Alex.''
Alex frowned. Looking around the food court quickly. He rubbed his temple and still frowning he looked across the table toward Kitty Pryde, "Weird."
"You remember when the Professor would put thoughts in our heads?" he asked the girl across from him. Even though she was a little younger than he was, she had a lot more experience with telepaths than he did, "Well, that just happened, only it was a womans voice." He looked for the strange man and woman he'd been talking to earlier but he could no longer see them. The situation was freaking him out now, a little anyway. He just didn't like being messed with.

Kitty did remember having to get used to dealing with having Xavier's voice suddenly appear in her head. It was one of the many things that had made her first months at the Xavier Institute some of the most interesting and exciting months of her life. Everything was just so different, so almost magical. Then the voice had faded, and since his death there seemed to be an empty void both in the school and in Kitty's life.
"Have you been dealing with a telepath?" she asked, "They'd probably have to be fairly close, in the mall most likely. At least unless they were as powerful as Xavier."
She looked around, trying to see if there was anyone who looked obviously like a mutant, or a telepath. There was nobody who looked like they fit that description. Though maybe the people that Alex had been talking to when she arrived, the woman there, was one. "How about the woman you were talking with?"

"No idea, but it looks like it. Xavier knew that I wasn't comfortable with it so he spoke normally. Same thing with Jean." He looked around as Kitty did the same. He'd only given a rose to one woman but her boyfriend had accused him of being a mutant and been fairly antagonistic about it all. Why would another mutant risk exposure or worse attack another mutant like that? It didn't make sense, good people didn't...
"How about the woman you were talking with?"
"I guess it had to be but her boyfriend got all up in my grill about being a mutant. Why would he do that if she was one too?" He asked as he looked for the blond hottie in the crowd.

Lorna switched the hand she was holding her purchases in as she made it to the front of the line in the food court. It had taken a few moments but she finally decided to get a couple of tacos and a side of rice for lunch so then it'd taken a few more moments to make it to the front of the line. Her bags weren't heavy by any means but she had purchased a few new pairs of jeans, a new shirt and a brand new bathing suit that was the first one she'd bought new in years.
She was a bit apprehensive about the new bathing suit but her other one was getting a bit threadbare from all the swimming she did and there were a few things on her body that she was determined no one was going to be seeing. So the threadbare one had to go.
Lorna was dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a deep purple t-shirt with a pair of white sneakers on her feet. Her long, green hair was down and left loose. Suddenly, she wished she'd worn it back in a braid and a hat on her head.
“May I help you?” the young man behind the counter asked before really looking up from the cash register and adding, “Dude, awesome hair. How'd ya get that color to stay?”
It was a question she was more then used to but had made her even more apprehensive then ever before given the events regarding mutants lately. So she went with her usual explanation. “I'm a swimmer and the chlorine had a really nasty side effect with the dye I tried. It does look pretty cool, though, doesn't it?” she replied with a grin.
Giving him her order, Lorna turned with her food and began to look for a place to eat. That's when she spotted Alex chatting up a really cute brunette who looked familiar but she wasn't entirely sure how. Shifting from one foot to the other, Lorna tried to decide if she should interrupt them or not while trying to place the why the brunette seemed somewhat familiar...
((I'm guessing that Kitty left either right before Lorna got to the school or just after. If I need to edit that, let me know!))

"I guess it had to be but her boyfriend got all up in my grill about being a mutant. Why would he do that if she was one too?"
Shadowcat shrugged and took a drink of her soda. What was she an expert on Crazy Mall Blondes? Hardly. She avoided the mall at all costs when she could, and it was just this time that she had been unfortunate enough to allow it to draw her in. At least she'd found Alex. She blurted out a non-sequitor, "You're my mall sherpa."
Having so dubbed him that she finished off her food, "So where does one go for fun in the urban enviroment known as the local shopping centre?"
